SCA Pre-painted cladding

This is our concept for pre-painted exterior paneling where customers can choose the color and level of finishing through a clearly packaged offer. The season, budget, or the desire for DIY painting can guide the choice of color system. The cladding adapts to unique customer preferences, ensuring high quality and an excellent end result. This cladding can be installed year-round.

• In our painting facilities, we ensure the optimal amount of paint and application for the best possible result with minimal environmental impact.
• Painting is done in a controlled environment with regular quality control to provide the exterior panel with the longest possible maintenance intervals and lifespan.
• Select a unique color by specifying the NCS code or choosing from preselected combinations in Jotun's color program.
• Warranty periods range from 2 to 10 years depending on the choice of color system.
• Factory-painted exterior panels offer lower total costs and a more efficient construction and painting process.
• All color systems are compatible with all profiles of exterior panels. All color systems are tested according to SS-EN13501 and meet fire class D-s2, d0 in accordance with SS-EN 14915:2013.

Since the exterior paneling is painted in our production, we can use precisely the amount of paint needed. We can also reuse the paint multiple times with purification, minimizing waste and ensuring that the surplus is utilized according to industry standards. Primed exterior cladding should be finished with two additional coats of paint as soon as possible, and no later than two years after installation.

Intermediate and Stain should be finished with one coat as soon as possible and no later than two years after installation.

 *Always remember to paint nail heads and cut surfaces.

With SCA’s pre-painted caldding, only a final coat is required, allowing you to save time by reducing the number of painting rounds. You also save money, as you need to buy less paint, leading to lower costs. The total amount of paint required for three coats when painting at home is also greater than the paint used when the first two coats are applied in our painting facility and the final one after installation. This is because we use exactly the amount of paint needed and recycle excess paint through purification. Choosing a pre-painted cladding is both sustainable and cost-effective.

Cost calculation

Hiring a painter, renting scaffolding, and purchasing paint are all time-consuming and expensive tasks. By choosing a pre-painted cladding, you can reduce the rental period for scaffolding, the working hours for the painter, and the amount of paint you need to buy. So, even though the initial purchase of the panel is slightly more expensive, you will save money in the long run. The cost example below is based on 100 square meters of Dubbelfas 22x145 painted with Jotun Acrylic Paint. The example includes costs for cladding purchase, paint, scaffolding, and labor for a professional painter.
